"El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie"

I was skeptical about a Breaking Bad movie. I thought, why? Walter White was dead. There's nothing more to say. Turns out I'm wrong. The 2010s will forever be remembered for Game of Thrones , but I want it to also be remembered for Breaking Bad . We got five seasons of Walt's antics. The spin-off series Better Call Saul is still going strong, and now we have a movie following Jesse Pinkman. I honestly don't know how Jesse will get out of the law, especially when he stares down someone in a duel, but knowing Vince Gilligan and all the raised stakes he wrote in Breaking Bad, I'm sure he'll get out fine. Of course there's always the possibility that Jesse may bite it too. In theaters: October 11-13, 2019 Released on Netflix: October 11, 2019 Aired on AMC: TBA Click image to view URL.

"The Irishman"

It's one thing when a relatively known two-time Academy Award winning director from Mexico upends your perfect world, but your own colleague doing the same thing should be enough to send you over the edge. Martin Scorsese returns with another gritty crime drama, which also serves as a weapon to get Netflix a Best Picture Oscar. The only thing I could make out was that the de-aged De Niro either ordered the hit on JFK or he did it himself and blamed Lee Harvey Oswald. There's always that mysterious fourth shot that rose from the grass. But you know what? I don't care. I can't wait for this thing to come out. "Black Christmas" (2019)

Whatever. At first glance, before you start the trailer, you'd think it would be a Madea movie, or one of those black holiday comedies starring Queen Latifah and Taye Diggs. Instead, it's a rehash of  Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island . Sacrificing a sorority to preserve the college's soul? Come on, man, that's been done. (This was before I found out that it's a reboot.) Also, I am starting to get sick of horror, disaster, and crime movies taking place on Christmas. Die Hard did it, and it was awesome. But Die Hard 2 did it, and it was not fun anymore. What doesn't help is that we keep doing it. I Am Legend , Iron Man 3 , Silent Night Deadly Night , the one where Santa is evil, Krampus . Go ruin another holiday. There are no Thanksgiving movies. Start killing people then. Have someone light up near a Macy's Thanksgiving Parade balloon and explode a whole block. In theaters: December 13, 2019

"Jojo Rabbit"

I don't know what to say, honestly. It's like Taika Waititi took The Boy in the Striped Pajamas and turned it into a comedy. But aside from that, there really isn't anything we haven't seen before...except for the fact that the boy's imaginary best friend is Hitler. Take that away, it's a typical story about someone questioning their ideology for the sake of someone they care about. Fortunately there is a take in the idea that's rarely explored, and that is watching someone living and breathing everyday life as a Nazi. You normally would see that in a secondary character except for that one movie I mentioned earlier. I'm unsure if it's really worth the go or not. I'll get back on that.
