"A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood"

*Sniffling* All right, damn it! I can't take it anymore! I watched this for the third time while at the movie theater, and I f*cking teared up. How can I hate this impending nostalgia trap? Damn you, Tom Hanks, for making me cry like a b*tch over a dead TV show host. I'm gonna go see this, and I'll probably cry the whole damn time. "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" Season 3

In this season, we see Midge leave New York City for the crowds across America as she co-stars with Shy Baldwin, a popular singer. I bet they are going to have a falling out, and Midge is going to strike out of her own. This is because I know she isn't going to like playing second fiddle to this Bruno Mars of the sixties, but I also know she isn't one to give up and go home. Midge also faces friction with her family as they struggle with her rising fame and wanting to continue her journey. But at least Joel, her jackass husband, is on board with this...maybe. I don't know, the marketers pulled that lie in the Season 2 trailer too. On Prime Video: December 6, 2019 Click image to view URL.

"Klaus"

Netflix must have read my post on The Christmas Chronicles because here comes another Santa Claus movie, and I'm rather excited for it. I kept having vibes of the early days of 2000s animation with films like The Prince of Egypt , The Road to El Dorado , and Fox Animation's Anastasia , so it kind of hit me there with nostalgia. It also felt like the remake of the Ranken & Bass story we deserve. If this doesn't get nominated for Best Animated Feature, I'll be very disappointed. "Dark Waters" (2019)

This is straight up Oscar bait, and I like it. I am interested in how Mark Ruffalo takes down DuPont in a fat suit. But will it be enough to even be considered for an Oscar nom this year? A terrifying story from America's past brought to life by the people who gave us The Post and Spotlight , starring the Hulk, Mr. Andrews from Titanic, and Chidi from The Good Place . I don't see why not. In theaters: November 22, 2019 Click image to view URL.

"Gemini Man"

This is off of Will Smith's official YouTube page, I apologize for that beginning bit. I feel like this is the premise of Looper except that one person is playing both characters. It is very common in film to have one person play two people. Usually it was a twin trick in comedy films. In Big Business , Bette Midler and Lily Tomlin both played two sets of twins where one twin from each set was separated and paired as Lily and Bette and Bette and Lily. It is also common to have two versions of the same character appear on the same screen. But they were often cast with two separate people. In the 2009 film reboot of Star Trek , Zachary Quinto played a younger Spock while Leonard Nimoy reprised his role as an older Spock. While it's still revolutionary to have one person play an older and younger version of the same character in the same frame, this isn't new. As far as I can tell, Avengers: Endgame did it first. During the Time Heist, Steve Rogers, performed by Chris
