Taking a Break!

Since theaters are closed and movie premieres are being pushed back because of the Coronavirus, I will be taking a break reviewing upcoming movies. When the pandemic subsides, I will return to looking at new movies. In the meantime, stay safe, avoid contact as much as you can, and stay home if you're unwell. We will get through this together. "Minions: The Rise of Gru"

Just when you thought this nightmare train was over... In a way, I guess it would be helpful to answer some questions about how Gru became a supervillain. But I understand it as his mother pissed on his dreams of going to the moon. Plus, I don't think Otto makes it by the end. He isn't present in the Despicable Me franchise. In Theaters: July 3, 2020? "Candyman" (2020)

Wow, way to miss the opportunity of playing "The Candy Man" by Sammy Davis Jr. (My apologies to Sammy Davis Jr. for bastardizing his song with this movie). So, this is a manifestation of The Ring mixed with selling your soul to the devil. Maybe he should team up with Ghost Rider. How's that for a movie mashup cinematic universe? I haven't seen Us to confirm my theory yet, but I'm starting to notice that all of Jordan Peele's main protagonists have been photographers. Chris from Get Out was, this guy is, do you think Jordan wanted to be a photographer when he was younger? Explains why he "quit" acting. And why a crowbar? I get that knives are outdated (thank you, Chucky, Jason, Michael), Leatherface ruined chainsaws, and claws are too primitive. But a crowbar. In Theaters: June 12, 2020 Click image to view URL.

"Spiral"

Does this mean I have to watch the Saw movies before hand? Is this torture porn disguised as a thriller? Is Chris Rock trying to break his typecast? In Theaters: May 15, 2020 Click image to view URL.

"Stranger Things" Season 4 Teaser

We definitely are not in Hawkins anymore. I'm glad Hopper is still alive. I hope he would. I know David Harbour's car seen on set, but that didn't mean anything. And this probably doesn't mean anything either. It could be flashback of when he was young.  He may have been a juvenile delinquent before becoming Chief of Police. "In the Heights"

Lin-Manuel Miranda's Broadway debut musical makes the jump to the big screen to tell the story of a young man's dream living in Washington Heights. As a newcomer to the story, I'm not sure what that dream is. I can tell that this will play in the appreciation of Dominican culture as the musical residents live harmoniously and are supportive of one another. I can't wait to see this. I'm excited. Super Bowl LIV Movie Trailers

A lot of film trailers made their debut in this year's Super Bowl. Here they are now. Enjoy. A Quiet Place: Part II Okay, I really need to see the first one. I never thought that a horror movie, as good as people said the first one was, would get a sequel. Who knows what John and Emily have in store for us. In Theaters: March 20, 2020 Click image to view URL.  Mulan (2020) It is obvious that this movie is trying to be a girl power movie much like the first movie. It's kind of hard to take it seriously when there is a woman on the opposing side. And why did she say "a warrior" like she was impressed? IS she impressed or is she threatened? In Theaters: March 27, 2020 Click image to view URL.  The Fast Saga: F9 Basically, a script note makes its way into the movie. In Theaters: May 22, 2020 Click image to view URL.  Black Widow I'm getting Jason Bourne vibes mixed with The Umbrella Academy .  Who is she talking to when she says th

"The Fast Saga: F9"

I know a lot of you said this franchise ran out of ideas a long time ago. I'm now starting to agree with you. Since when did Dom have a big, burly, white brother? And why was he never mentioned? This is a copy and paste story of the Shaw brothers. Dom is little Owen and John Cena is Deckard. I see Mia returned to the scene  Where's Brian? Is stuck at home with Jack. Are they divorced. Is she just craving adventure? Does SHE miss the bullets? Speaking of bullets, Cipher and her ugly-as-sin hair are back. You know, if she was such a good hacker that Anonymous wouldn't dare mess with her, she would have known that Dom had a brother and went after him first. I'm still waiting to see if Mr. Nobody is gonna be back. I have a theory that he's been running the operation this whole time. From Owen to Deckard to Cipher, and now John Cena. When they do F10, that's when it'll unfold. And speaking of unfolding, what the f*ck is Han doing still alive? That means

"Morbius"

Move over, Batman, there's a new bat-crazed hero on the screen. Or villain, I guess. It's good to see the Sony-Marvel Universe slowly taking off. While it's an origin story for Michael Morbius, it will definitely be lead to the third Spider-Man movie. And I knew Toomes would be back. I knew it! There is talk about bringing the Sinister Six to the big screen, Maybe this is how they will do it. Give each member a movie to allow mainstream audiences to get to know the characters before Peter can resurface and face them all. In theaters: July 31, 2020 Click image to view URL.

"Bloodshot"

I remember this one. Will Smith was in it. Yeah, and Margot Robbie, and the Joker, the one everyone hates. No? Oh, wait. I remember now. Vin Diesel was also in this one where he's talking about your brain shutting down during cryosleep. No? Wait, wasn't Arnie in this one? You know, " Al be bahck ." Terminator? No? "I was a warrior who dreamed of bringing peace." No? Well, guys, it's wracking my brain. I can't quite remember where I saw this before. Wait, Memento ? Is it Memento ? No? Damn it!
