Isn't this basically Alien underwater? And isn't this an attempt to try and turn Kristen Stewart into Ellen Ripley? And who would have thought that because T.J. Miller was in this it'll be good? Also I wouldn't be surprised if the thing was some kind of Kraken or an Octoshark. And I would be expecting to see Godzilla show up in a post credits scene. Honestly, I liked the original design better. But if the studio decided to go this route, they should have saved their money and made a cartoon instead. Plus, they went from "Gangster's Paradise" to that one song from Spider-Man: Homecoming , which diminishes any hopes I had for the film. Guys, we need to talk about war dramas. They are all the same. You know how this will end.  If it were a story that failed, then it would be about the bravery of the men who died carrying out the message, and they would advertise that way.  For once, I'd like to see a twist ending where the men depicted in this movie actually failed to deliver the message. I'm not asking for the resulting massacre. I just don't want another Saving Private Ryan story. In theaters: December 25, 2019 Click image to view URL. 

*Sniffling* All right, damn it! I can't take it anymore! I watched this for the third time while at the movie theater, and I f*cking teared up. How can I hate this impending nostalgia trap? Damn you, Tom Hanks, for making me cry like a b*tch over a dead TV show host. I'm gonna go see this, and I'll probably cry the whole damn time. In this season, we see Midge leave New York City for the crowds across America as she co-stars with Shy Baldwin, a popular singer. I bet they are going to have a falling out, and Midge is going to strike out of her own. This is because I know she isn't going to like playing second fiddle to this Bruno Mars of the sixties, but I also know she isn't one to give up and go home. Midge also faces friction with her family as they struggle with her rising fame and wanting to continue her journey. But at least Joel, her jackass husband, is on board with this...maybe. Netflix must have read my post on The Christmas Chronicles because here comes another Santa Claus movie, and I'm rather excited for it. I kept having vibes of the early days of 2000s animation with films like The Prince of Egypt , The Road to El Dorado , and Fox Animation's Anastasia , so it kind of hit me there with nostalgia. It also felt like the remake of the Ranken & Bass story we deserve. If this doesn't get nominated for Best Animated Feature, I'll be very disappointed. This is straight up Oscar bait, and I like it. I am interested in how Mark Ruffalo takes down DuPont in a fat suit. But will it be enough to even be considered for an Oscar nom this year? A terrifying story from America's past brought to life by the people who gave us The Post and Spotlight , starring the Hulk, Mr. Andrews from Titanic, and Chidi from The Good Place .
